Job Overview
TE Connectivity's Material Handler Teams perform the physical and/or administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, order fulfillment, storing and distributing of materials, parts, supplies and equipment. They unpack and check goods received against purchase orders or invoices, maintain records of received goods and reject unsatisfactory items. They lift heavy items and may operate a forklift. Material Handlers prepare and maintain records of shipments, post weights and shipping charges and prepare goods for final shipment. They examine, stock and distribute materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines and may prepare kitting packages for assembly production.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Essential Functions
Work closely with the Warehouse Group Leader to assure accurate inventories.
Use radio frequency equipment functions as required
Process inventory transactions in SAP to accurate reflect physical inventory as determined and verified through the cycle counting process.
Investigate and analyze documented inventory discrepancies to document root cause and corrective action of discrepancy.
Promote team relationship with manufacturing to resolve root cause issues
Provide support to the warehouse/plant team as needed, which can include generating/preparing factory order packets, processing receivers, dumping scrap, delivering metal to stamping, etc.
Maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area. Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse. Comply with OSHA and MSDS standards.
Ability to work independently and complete detailed analysis and document root cause and corrective action to prevent further inventory disconnects.
Provide support to all supply chain functions including but not limited to the cycle counting process.
Education / Experience
Knowledge of inventory management procedures and general warehousing terminology and practices
Skills in mathematics, personal computers, and related applications are vital
Interpersonal and communication skills are important
Experience with and ability to operate material handling equipment, electric pallet jack experience preferred
Forklift certification required within 30 days
HS diploma or GED required
Ability to read, write, and speak English
Ability to count accurately, do simple math and write legibly
Familiarity with Radio Frequency (RF) equipment is preferred
Strong sense of urgency; flexibility in meeting deadlines
Strong attention to detail and quality
Knowledge of SAP inventory transactions preferred
Computer skills required
Ability to work in a team environment with material handlers on shift as well as assembly / production operators
Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift and carry a maximum weight of 55.1 lbs safely & dependably
Must be able to push a maximum weight of 40 lbs safely & dependably
Frequently required to extend arms and hands between knees & shoulders; frequent holding and grasping with hands.
Standing and walking is required in this job.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
